Report what happened to you
- Describe your own experience. If you're reporting for a family member, say so.
- Stick to what you saw, paid and were told: dates, amounts, names, websites, messages.
- Separate facts from conclusions. “They refused my withdrawal and asked for a fee” is a fact; “I believe it was never a real exchange” is your opinion, and saying so is fine.
- Don't exaggerate amounts. Your loss is added to the group's total.
Protect people's privacy
- Don't post private individuals' home addresses, personal phone numbers, ID documents, bank details or photos of their family.
- Business names, websites, public social profiles, wallet addresses and the aliases scammers used with you are fine.
- Use “Hide details” on screenshots to cover your own account numbers, your address and other people's faces.
What we remove
- Reports that are knowingly false, or written by competitors to damage a business.
- Threats, harassment, calls for violence or vigilante action.
- Private information as described above.
- Spam, advertising, and “recovery services” offering to get your money back for a fee. These are almost always a second scam.
- Content we're required to remove by law or court order.
If you're named in a report
Use “Named in this report? Respond” on the report page. Once we confirm you represent the named party, your statement is published on the report. If you believe a report is false or unlawful, use “Report a problem” or email our legal team; we review every request.
For lawyers
- Introduce yourself honestly: your name, firm, where you're admitted and what you can and can't do for the group.
- Don't promise outcomes, pressure people or ask for fees before a written engagement.
- Follow your jurisdiction's rules on advertising and solicitation. Messages are labelled as attorney advertising.
Moderation and appeals
Moderators review flagged content and may hide it while they look into it. If your report or comment was removed and you think that was a mistake, reply to the email you received or contact support with the case number.
