According to Web3 Is Going Great, users of more than 300 Ledger hardware wallets lost an estimated $86 million to $93 million. Ledger said the targeted devices appear to have been sold via Southeast Asian reseller CryptoBilis, and researchers found implanted chips that captured and transmitted seed phrases.
